Fundraising for React

Fundraising Volunteers

Your skills and time could make a huge difference to the lives of React children. Whilst planning and staging an event is exciting and personally rewarding, fundraising is also a great way of making new friends and connecting with people in your local community.

Regional Support Groups

Support Groups play a crucial role in promoting the work of React locally and raising vital funds through organising events in aid of React within the local community. Some volunteers may find it daunting or too time consuming to organise an event by themselves. A support group offers the perfect solution by way of planning and sharing the responsibility to make a local event in aid of React a huge success!

Student Volunteers

As a student you can organise fundraising events, be a representative to raise awareness and a spokesperson at unviversity fairs. Volunteering is an effective way of combining work experience with promoting React’s important work.

School Fundraisers

We needs parents and teachers to promote React and raise awareness through their school, PTA groups and event committees. There are many fun, creative ways in which schools can fundraise for React children.

Company Support

Promoting React at your place of work is another rewarding way to volunteer. Many businesses support employee fundraising through schemes such as matched giving.

Spokesperson

To bring awareness and a presence in the community with regards to React’s work and achievements.

No experience is required to volunteer, you just need enthusiasm!

What the volunteers say:

“I was very young when my sister passed away 13 years ago, but I remember acutely the impact that React had on my sister. React provided Zoë with sensory toys that helped her enjoy her short life. The help we received was crucial towards the end of her life and I am proud to be fundraising for React, so that they might help another family in the same way, at such a difficult time.” Ben Stone.

One Thursday morning pupils & teachers at a local nursery made the walk to school still in their pyjamas! The Headteacher, said “The day gives awareness to the work of React. We were delighted to be able support our local children’s charity”. The Nursery raised £320 for React.

Flautist Volunteers for React Children's Charity

Talented young flautists busked over the Christmas holidays to raise money for React families. Children performed carols and seasonal favourites and a group of advanced teenagers played at Kew Gardens’ Christmas event raising an incredible £500. “It was such fun and for such a good cause” said group leader, Liz Holden

“22 miles onwards was a real test. I had to slow down and concentrate on self-preservation. Despite the heat, the crowds were amazing and really made a difference.”
