Running in the memory of his late father-in-law, Mark, who was a passionate supporter of children’s charities, Dave McMullin embarked on the Delamere Forest Half-Marathon in July. With no prior training, Dave relied on fond memories of Mark to carry him through the challenge and although he could hardly walk at the end, he made an emotional finish, which raised £1,457 for React families.

Dave made a promise to Mark before he passed, to run in his father-in-law’s name as Mark had become too ill to run himself. React sends our deepest thanks for the difference made by this generous gesture and it surely will have made Mark and family incredibly proud.
