As we reach the tail-end of a busy year, we give special mention to all those who have gone that extra mile and taken on some brilliant fundraising challenges in aid of React families.

As these particular supporters have demonstrated, there really is no limit to the activities you can undertake, nor how far you can push yourself to raise funds to buy essential equipment for terminally ill children. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed to these campaigns, which has assisted families during what has been a difficult year.

To start things off, what greater thrill is there than jumping out of a plane from a height of 14,000 feet? This is exactly what spirited sisters Bee and Tia decided to do when marking Bee’s 40th birthday. The pair celebrated in exceptional style and raised a wonderful £1,683.

React also acknowledges Paddy Garrett’s fantastic effort at the Richmond Marathon, a race that starts at the iconic Royal Botanical Gardens in Kew and meanders along the river Thames and through to Hampton Court Palace. Paddy successfully made it across the finish line, raising £580 in the process.

Last but by no means least, a huge shoutout to ‘Team Ted’, who completed a grueling 24-hour endurance challenge at the historic Sandringham Estate, in tribute to Ted who lives with Adrenoleukodystrophy. The team, who comprised of family, friends and seasoned athletes, raised a phenomenal £6,012 and we all send our heartfelt congratulations and thanks to everyone involved in raising this remarkable sum. If you are inspired to take on a challenge event, please get in touch with our friendly team today, and we will help you get started on your very own fundraising journey!
